Dogs on Acid

New Track: "Ideal Decanter" - Dogs on Acid

The wait for Dogs on Acid’s self-titled debut (arriving August 28 via Jade Tree) is almost over. Their latest single “Ideal Decanter” presents the surprising disappoint of reaching a goal that was meant to reap positive rewards. That reevaluating scenario is fleshed out via raucous guitars and a thick backend thrust, shaking the preconceptions loose.

New Track: "Make It Easy" - Dogs on Acid

While we wait for Dogs on Acid's self-titled forthcoming album to come out, the band has just shared its latest track "Make It Easy," which premiered earlier at Brooklyn Vegan. The single finds the group chillaxing with a slacker-rock groove, while never really feeling complacent. We're digging it - look out for the record to drop on August 28 via Jade Tree!

Spraynard Record Release Show at PhilaMOCA July 19

Freshly released via Jade Tree, Mable, the new album from pop-punk outfit Spraynard is being celebrated with a Sunday performance presented by R5 Productions at PhilaMOCA. The band's latest record rouses with a percussion-forward tone, establishing a controlled yet aggressive path. That running start adrenaline rush feeds into lyrics that ooze emotion as though pulled straight from the chest (in that universal latches into your lexicon kind of way). There’s a pulling in the same direction consciously clear and melodic aesthetic; the energy level is consistently high, while the collective appears efficient and purposeful. Mable grabs a hold and before long you’ll be raising the volume and singing along. With there self-titled debut LP due out August 28 via Jade Tree, the uninhibited sound of Dogs on Acid will get things moving with help from local pals, Year Of Glad, and Casual. PhilaMOCA 531 N. 12th St., 8pm, $12, All Ages - Michael Colavita

New Track: "The Prick" - Dogs on Acid

Dogs on Acid, which is made up of former Algernon Cadwallader members Peter Helmis, Joe Reinhart, and Nick Tazza and Snowing's Nate Dionne, just premiered their new single "The Prick," over at SPIN. It's off their upcoming debut self-titled record, which will be release on August 28 via well-respected indie label Jade Tree. The foursome will be doing a Northeast run of shows this week with Spraynard, capping things off back home in Philly on Sunday, July 19 at PhilaMOCA.
