Catch Lightning 100's The615 and Road To Bonnaroo Tonight!

Welcome to Monday, Nashville! Though there's not much a place can do to make the first day of the week feel less awful, Music City does its best to try. If you haven't caught Lightning 100's The615 in its new time slot, you can tune in this (and every!) Monday evening at 6:15 to hear Wells Adams and Justin Hammel spend an hour giving away prizes while highlighting local music.

Shortly after The615 wraps up on your radio, 8 Off 8th will host the third and final installment of Road To Bonnaroo. Alanna Royale and Ranch Ghost won rounds one and two, respectively, and tonight's winner will be the last to be added to the lineup that will represent the Nashville indie music scene onstage at Bonnaroo 2013. Tonight's competitors are:

Billy Swayze
Cy Barkley and the Way Outsiders
Jacob Jones
Meth Dad
Tipper Whore
The Wans

Music kicks off at 9, and the venue will fill up fast, so get to the Mercy Lounge early and grab a ballot to submit your vote!

Parlour and Juke's Live Cuts with Jacob Jones

Our newest writer/intern, Jonathan Parrish, stopped by Parlour and Juke's shop show on Saturday and brought his rundown on the event to The Deli - Nashville. Read on to find out what happened, and give Jonathan a hi-five the next time you see him out! – The Deli Staff

Every few months, the ultra-stylish hair salon Parlour and Juke throws a house party called "Live Cuts." Holding true to their namesake, the parties feature live music which elevates the Americana-chic Parlour into a juke joint. The most recent event on February 23rd boasted inclusive Yazoo brews and the tunes of Jacob Jones. While the beers ran out before everyone attending could redeem their allotted two, and the room felt like a sauna, the overall vibe was good. Jones played songs from his recently released Good Timin' in Waynetown as well as some old standards. For those of you unfamiliar with Jones, he sticks closely to boogie-blues, opting to keep things classic instead of injecting any modern twists. The sounds were like being at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance while Marty McFly plays "Johnny B. Goode," and the room felt like a fun backyard BBQ sponsored by Levi's.

You can catch Jacob Jones live at the Third Shift Amber Lager presents: Nashville - the Official SXSW Send-Off show on March 2nd. –Jonathan Parrish
