As we get ready to take it easy this holiday season, there is something that feels right about injecting a remix from the beautifully oddly titled A Sunny Day in Glasgow double EP Planning Weed Like It’s Acid/Life Is Loss into your lives. The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart provided their take on the single "Hey, You're Mine," which you can stream HERE. The bi-continental sextet will be ringing in the New Year next week at Johnny Brenda's, alongside Mercury Girls and EZTV with Jeff Zeigler spinning far-out tunes throughout the evening.

Mercury Girls, featuring members of Literature, Little Big League, and Pet Milk, recently shared two new tracks, "Sulk" and "Collisions," over at Brooklyn Vegan. They were both recorded live to tape during a recording session. Mercury Girls will be performing this evening at Bourbon & Branch with Suburban Living and Eternal Summer.

The daylong Treat Y’rself Fest, taking place at PhilaMOCA, offers a comprehensive experience with an additional bonus proceeds will go toward October’s March to End Rape Culture.  A dozen artists are slated to perform, including Kississippi whose intricate lyrical painting set on an acoustic canvas. Myrrias will perform as a duo, inducing a soothing psychedelic daydream. While the jangly art pop of Mercury Girls, the surf-garage-punk combo of The Pretty Greens (featuring Mike Writes), the fuzzy shoegazing haze of Ghost Gum and garage-punk quartet Littler are among those on this packed program.
