Mountains Like Wax release single "Messed Up Your Hair"

Mountains Like Wax have performed and recorded explosive and emotional rock for the last few years; although they haven't released much since their debut EP Tetralogy in 2015, what they have shared with the world has gained them a following and the fuel to keep moving forward. The duo of Mitchell Taylor and Samuel Katz have just released their latest single "Messed Up Your Hair", their third song to drop this year, and one that according to them most accentuates their band's sound. The track begins soft, but builds into a cinematic expression of youthfulness in love and the fickleness of all it. The song has already received repeated play on Nashville stations 102.9 The Buzz and Lightning 100, getting featured spots on both stations. Stay tuned to Mountains Like Wax's social media for upcoming shows; until then, listen to "Messed Up Your Hair" below. - Will Sisskind

Hellaphant bring high-energy punk to the International 10/29

With most tracks clocking in at the under 2 minute mark, Knoxville-based Hellaphant is proof that good things come in small pachyderms packages. The band plays high-energy, garagey punk, perfect for your parents-out-of-town party, or the next time you're vandalizing something. Check them out live at the International 10/29 with *repeat repeat and Mountains Like Wax, and in the meantime stream them below.-Olivia Sisinni

Ambient-Indie Rockers, Mountains Like Wax, to play the International 10/29

The TN-based fourpiece's EP, Tetraology, hits in all the right places: serving up some quiet introspection to the tune of post-rock vibes. Check out their EP streaming below, and be sure to catch the band 10/29 at the International with *repeat repeat and Hellaphant.-Olivia Sisinni
