New Nothing Album Available for Streaming & Purchase

Nothing’s Spirit Of The Stairs - B - Sides & Rarities was recently released via Relapse Records. A somber, soothing, shoegazing sound filters through one’s speakers. The album offers a range of sonics from the Philly four-piece; you'll find stripped-down demos, covers, and B-sides, while they also showcase those hypnotic, searing, sledgehammer atmospherics that we've come to know and love from Nicky Palermo and the gang. Nothing will be performing next in Philly with Basement and Teenage Wrist on Tuesday, May 14 at the TLA.

New Track: "Heavy Water/I'd Rather Be Sleeping" (Grouper Cover) - Nothing

Nothing just announced that they'll be releasing a new compilation album, titled Spirit Of The Stairs - B-Sides & Rarities (Relapse Records). It will feature outtakes from their latest LP Dance On The Blacktop, along with other demos, live recordings, and covers. Below is the band's beautifully noisy rendition of Grouper's genteel "Heavy Water/I'd Rather Be Sleeping". Nothing have plans to return back to Philly on Tuesday, May 14 at the TLA, with Basement & Teenage Wrist.

New Nothing LP Available for Streaming & Announce Record Release Block Party

Ahead of its August 24 release date, Dance On The Blacktop (Relapse Records) the new album  from Nothing is available for streaming via NPR’s First Listen. The searing-soothing dichotomy the shoegazers channels the tug and pull between the hope that we can turn it around and the dreariness that we witnesses daily. One can brace for the bleakness of  the storm, and remember that the potential of positivity lies in its aftermath. On Saturday, August 25, a day of music, fun and food for all ages will be had , with a rad record release block party that will be taking place at the blocks of Livingston and E. Lehigh in Port Richmond. This serves as a precursor to Belly Of The Beats - a fundraiser for The Pennsylvania Prison Society, presented by WXPN and R5 Productions on Saturday, October 6 at Union Transfer, which also includes Swirlies, Big Bite, and Smut.

New Track: "Blue Line Baby" - Nothing

Another sonic glimpse into Dance On the Blacktop, the forthcoming album from Nothing (scheduled for release on August 24 via Relapse Records), has been revealed. “Blue Line Baby” weaves between the soft innocent nature of the vocals and the rougher, combative side of the instrumental swells. Finding a union in those contrasting elements of hushed and heavy is a jarring musical memory. New Music Video: "Zero Day" - Nothing

Nothing recently shared the new video for “Zero Day,” the first single from their forthcoming album, Dance On The Blacktop, due out August 24 via Relapse Records. Directed by Kevin Haus, ominous clouds hang overhead as the band of pallbearers carries frontman Nicky Palermo's body through the streets of Philadelphia, surrounded by a parade of Mummers and Eagles fans. The melodic buzz carries a heavy undertone, even during its points of celebration. Supported by Swirlies, Big Bite, and Smut, the band is slated to headline Union Transfer on Saturday October 6.
