Beat Kitchen 25th Anniversary

Beginning tomorrow, October 16th, and spanning the next 11 days Beat Kitchen will be pulling out all of the stops to celebrate their 25th anniversary. It kicks off with Owen and will feature sets from Yakuza, Al Scorch, AM Taxi, Maps & Atlases and more. You can find a full listed of events here.

Owen and Into It. Over It.

Polyvinyl Records announced this week that they will be releasing a split 7" on Aug. 21st that will two new originals from Owen (Mike Kinsella) and Into It. Over It. (Evan Weiss), and two covers (each artist covers a song from the other’s back catalog). Below is Owen's cover of Into It. Over It's track "Anchor". You can preorder the 7" here.

Owen @ Schubas

Last month we announced the new cover album, Other People's Songs, from Owen (akak Mike Kinsella) will be released on Dec. 2nd and share his cover of The Smoking Popes song"Under The Blanket". Now we have Owen's take on "Judas" by Depeche Mode.

You can catch Owen at Schubas on Jan. 3rd to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of I Do Perceive & EP.

Owen Cover Album

Polyvinyl announced this week that Owen aka Mike Kinsella will be releasing a new album on December 2nd. The album called Other People's Songs will consist of 8 covers of songs by bands including Smoking Popes, Depeche Mode, The Promise Ring, and ALL. Owen "L'Ami du Peuple"

Owen (aka Mike Kinsella) has a new album, L'Ami du Peuple, coming out on July 2nd on Polyvinyl. He recently released the first single from the album, "Bad Blood".
