Waterfall Wash Release "Foreign Chords" Video

East side indie folkers Waterfall Wash are helping us cling to the last bit of summer with a DIY lyric video for staff favorite "Foreign Chords," dropped earlier this year. Basically, two fruits enter; one frickin' adorable video leaves.

The fun, quirky video, directed by Dylan White, has all the makings of a perfect afternoon. There's Nerf gun double-crossing, hand-painted signs, cameos by friends (and some local talent) and a refreshing-beverage-off, all to a track you can't help but smile to. Boasting xylophone AND lap steel, "Foreign Chords" is full of personality, positivity and solid musicianship.

Waterfall Wash Drops Sunshiney "Panama (Reprise)"

With temperatures rising around East Nashville, nothing's better than a chocolate-drizzled, sprinkle-covered, cherry-topped lo-fi single from hometown indie sweethearts Waterfall Wash.

"Panama (Reprise)" is a follow-up to Foreign Chords, their well-received EP released earlier this year. With Gameboy-esque synth, autoharp and hand claps, the track bends genre lines to fit any beachside playlist.
You can catch Waterfall Wash at The East Room this Sunday, grab a copy of Foreign Chords at SoundstampMusic.com, and cast your vote in Music City Mayhem to see them perform at this year's Live on the Green. -Caroline Bowman

Waterfall Wash EP Release Show at fooBar 1.31

Waterfall Wash will finally be releasing their debut EP, "Foreign Chords" on January 27th, after almost five years since their inception in 2010. Their folky storytelling has evolved over time, an assemblage of instruments have been collected (you won't find many groups with a dedicated autoharpist) and a sense of the dramatic has been honed. The handful of singles Waterfall Wash have released over 2014 are marked with flourishes from a multitude of influences, like screaming electric guitar solos in "Landmark" and a twee acoustic tune leading into fiddle and all the handclaps in their most recent tune, "Visions." Throw in their penchant for Chicago's jazz underground, and that's alot of sound to be packed into one EP. We're excited to hear how it fits.

Waterfall Wash is having an EP release show this Saturday at fooBar with kidDEAD, Rales, and The FUTURE. Show starts at 9pm, and cover is $5.
