Tombstone Eyes

I don’t think it was a coincidence that the Stoner Metal group Tombstone Eyes released their debut album, Land In The Sky, on January 1st via the local label Akashic Records Unlimited. The sixteen minute track “Solar Barge” is the perfect track to zone out to and let your mind expand.

This is the work of Brownstone, John Brown, Mustafa Daka, and Jason Sipe.

Happy Birthday, Deli Magazine New England!

There are so many things to be grateful for today: family, friends, good food, good times. Here at Deli New England, we are grateful for one more thing, and that is the opportunity to cover New England’s always-thriving music scene. For ten years, we have been privileged to witness the rise of talented artists from Connecticut’s New York border to Maine’s Atlantic seaboard. Since the birth of this branch, on this date ten years ago, we have had our many editors explore with delight hip-hop acts, indie-pop darlings, rock-punks, and so much more. Below you will find nine posts from different editors of this magazine over the last ten years. A big thank you to Meghan Chiampa for kicking off this journey and letting me know of the special occasion at hand. Happy holidays and happy reading! - Rene Cobar

Witchrot - Heavy Doom Single "Dug Your Grave", Bovine 11.30

One of the heavier tunes I’ve heard in a while is from Toronto stoner rockers Witchrot. "Dug Your Grave" was recorded and produced by Tallies’ Dylan Frankland. We’re talking powerful vocals and heavy ass guitars. The bulk of the song trudges along at a doom metal pace before ending in full shred mode. The guitar work reminds me of Priestess but Witchrot brings it with a bad ass female singer. They will be playing The Powder Box Release Party at Bovine Sex Club on Saturday November 30th with Head and Cherry Hooker. – Kris Gies
